About a week ago I was compared to Adele…which is an amazing compliment!! I guess I looked like her after I’d done my hair and makeup for prom last Friday, my friend’s mom told me that.. (: Also, my bff’s mom told me that her mom, my bff’s grandmother, was looking at all of our prom pictures and she called me stunning! Which is huge because I would never in a million years think I could be “stunning”. I feel really good for once..
The longer it is that I haven’t talked to him…
the more I hate him for everything he’s done to me and all the things he left behind.
So, my prom weekend was absolutely amazing.
Even though I didn’t have a date (I was freaking ot because of this about a week ago!!), it was so much fun! So, on Friday, my friend, Paige, and I left school at 11 so we could start getting ready. You weren’t allowed to not go to school at all, but the school said you were allowed to leave at 11 and still be able to go to prom. So we both went home. When I got home, I kind of relaxed and whatnot until about 2:15, which is when I start getting ready. I was finally ready around 4:20ish after doing everything myself! (I post pics later, maybe?)Everyone had appointment to get things done, but I did everything myself! So, Paige came and met me at my house and we took some pictures here. Then we went to my friend Anna’s house and we met Bri there. The four of us took more pictures (we’ve all been bffs since 6th grade,and we HAD to find time to do pics with just us four!!) until we had to split up and go our seperate ways for other pictures. So around 5:20ish, Paige and I left to go to Mandy’s to take pictures with a bunch of people! SO many people! Then, we left her house around 6:20 and headed of to the Radisson, where we parked and went inside. We met up with some of our friends and picked a table. Prom officially started at 7! So we all sociallized and it started to go wonderfully. Dinner/dessert was served at 8, and the food was really good! Obviously not the best food I’d ever had, but good. So, around 9:30ish, they all the buffet tables cleaned and moved and we started dancing! Most people started leaving around 11ish, but we tried to stay as late as possible (it officially ends at 12am) but we were too tired and ended up leaving around 11:20. We, my friends Paige and Ripley, and I, brought changes of clothes because we went out after, so we grab those and came back inside and none of us could stop laughing, because we were all just having such a great time! And there was like, no drama at all, which is big for a school dance! But we walked back up into the hotel and changed in their bathrooms, then came back down stairs to head over to the Airport Diner, a local diner that’s open 24 hours near the Radisson. So we got in the car, we had the windows down, our music was way too loud, and we were driving around until we got to the Airport Diner around 12:30 (it’s really only 15 mins away, but we had a good time goofing off!). We almost got lost on the way there because my GPS was freaking out! But we made it and met up with Anna and her boyfriend there. So they split something, and then Paige, Ripley and I shared a big basket of fries. We weren’t there long and left a little before 1am to go home. We finally got back to Paige’s house around 1:30 and went to sleep after that. The nest morning, all of us (Paige, Ripley, Anna and I) didn’t get up until around 10:30. On a whimp, we decided we wanted to go to the beach! Because it was supposed to be 80 that day. After decided, though, Paige said she didn’t want to go because she was too tired, and the three of us had to leave without her. We felt bad, but it was her choice. (I was driving us everywhere, by the way, just saying. I have no problem driving at all either, because I love driving!) Next we had to go around house to house to pick up beach things. We all brought towels and chairs, cameras and iPods and phones. We packed Nutella sandwiches for lunch and sliced strawberries and kiwis. We had capri sun and water and packed some shovels and pales for sand castle building. So after we spent over and hour gathering things, we finally got on the road and my GPS freaked again. So we followed the signs and made it all the way up to Hampton! We finally got there around 1:30 and made our way down to the beach. We chilled out, had lunch, felt the freeing water, took a walk, layed down, played frisbee, took another walk, and then chilled out until around 4pm. Then, we brought all our stuff back to the car and went to go walk on the boardwalk for the remaining hour. We stopped and got ice cream and looked for YOLO shirts everywhere…;) Until we finally left the beach around 5:15ish to go home. Again, we got home without the GPS, sunroof down, music blasting. It was such a good day. I got an AWFUL sunburn though, none of us put sunscreen on! I finally got home a little bit after 6pm to my brother’s family birthday party. There weren’t that many people, it was really informal, so it wasn’t a big deal that I was late. So I took a quick shower and had some dinner. Then my cousins came over and we decided to be crazy together. We ran around the house and watched the fireworks our neighbors were lighting off down the street and played games. It was super fun. Then, everyone finally left and we all went to bed. And now, it’s the next morning and I’m typing this! I just had SUCH an amazing weekend, and I thought that it wasn’t really going to be good whatsoever. But, it was so good. Anyways, I wanted to type this so I remember…love y’all! Hope your prom(s) was just as good as mine!
